Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel has appointed fashionista and broadcaster Lorraine Keane as its celebrity fashion judge. Lorraine, together with her fellow judge, Bairbre Power, the Fashion Editor of the Irish Independent will be the hunt for Best Dressed on the day and are both very much looking forward to seeing all the style on show at this year’s highly anticipated event.

Lorraine said, “I’m so excited to judge this year’s ‘Best Dressed’ competition, it’s such a lovely occasion for people to dress up, express themselves and take to the stage to be interviewed by my friend and fellow tv and radio presenter, Laura Woods. This year I’m looking for something creative, something that shows a unique style, and I would love to see an element of sustainability- whether attendants buy from sustainable brands, explore vintage fashion or preloved charity shops, borrow or rent, we can all practice conscious consumption”.

Michael Davern, General Manager of Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel said, “The Dublin Horse Show is deeply rooted in Ireland’s culture and upholds an iconic global reputation as an unmissable event in the sporting and social calendar. Our sponsorship of Best Dressed at this year’s Dublin Horse Show allows us to connect with people who are interested in the essence of individual authenticity and luxury which provides us with the opportunity to tell our audience about the remarkable changes that have occurred recently at our luxury hotel and more importantly– introduce who we are as Anantara. A brand that’s foundation is providing heartfelt hospitality in the world’s most exciting destinations through indigenous authentic experiences. Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas recently made its debut in Ireland when it took over what was formerly known as The Marker Hotel.  Our 187-bedroom, Five-Star Hotel has undergone a major renovation programme which has seen all of the bedrooms being completely reimagined as well as the addition of our new destination restaurant, Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins. It’s an exciting time for our property and we are very much looking forward to showcasing it to the Dublin Horse Show audience and to working with the RDS and the team there.”

About the RDS Dublin Horse Show

This will be the 148th Dublin Horse Show.

The first show was held in 1864 under the auspices of the Society but organised by the Royal Agricultural Society of Ireland. In 1868 the first show was held and organised by the Royal Dublin Society on the lawns of Leinster House. 1881 the Show moved to ‘Ball’s Bridge’ and has remained here ever since.

Filled with great family fun, good food, fancy drinks, and a little dressing up, the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Dublin Horse Show is an amazing experience and one of the best days out of the summer. And we haven’t even mentioned horses! Throughout the five days the extensive RDS grounds will host the best of equestrianism – it is, after all, considered one of the top equestrian shows in the world!
