CELEBRITY ARCHITECT AND INTERNATIONAL INTERIOR DESIGNER COLLABORATE WITH HALI CHERRYWOOD

Celebrity architect and television presenter, Hugh Wallace together with multi award-winning interior designer, Suzie McAdam recently collaborated with Hali Cherrywood and took part in a virtual, video walk through of this stylish residential development. These videos, which are now available to view on Hali’s dedicated resident experience website and social media channels, show the duo walking through each of the apartments and public areas and showcasing the many on site amenities and glorious external spaces which residents can enjoy.

Hali in Cherrywood, Dublin 18 is one of Europe’s finest ‘Build to Rent Communities’ and the apartments are made up of ultra-modern, bright, and spacious studios, and one, two and three-bedrooms apartments. Dynamic architecture, slick interiors and well thought out external spaces has resulted in the creation of a contemporary, A2-rated, sustainable residential development.

Additionally, it offers exceptional work-from-home areas, vibrant social spaces, and abundant greenery with proximity to three stunning parks. Comprising of studio apartments and one, two and three-bedroom units Hali is one of the most exciting residential communities to become available in recent years. With its easy access to the city centre via the Luas which stops right outside and to the pretty seaside village of Killiney, the community is one of the most sought-after developments to live in South Dublin.

The residents can avail of complimentary enterprise Wi-Fi and TV packages, there are weekly wellness and fitness classes, and gyms, fitness studios, and saunas all complimentary for residents. The recently launched ‘Sky Gym’ in the Harcourt Building, is the ‘pièce de résistance’ of all the fitness amenities on site and features top of the range equipment and on site trainers who offer bespoke workout programmes. It is an invigorating space to work out and its floor to ceiling glass walls offer fantastic views across to Killiney and to the Dublin Mountains.

Design legend, and media personality, Hugh Wallace of Douglas Wallace Architects said, “I am absolutely blown away by this development. There is great thought put into how the residents will use both the internal and external spaces with the inclusion of superb amenities such as state of the art gyms, home working hubs and public entertainment spaces. The apartments themselves are spacious and light and the development itself enjoys plenty of exterior green spaces and with not one, but three public parks surrounding the development there is plenty of space to exercise, to walk the dog and to enjoy nature and the great outdoors.”

Hali, Cherrywood is led by Managing Director, Benjamin Preece, a seasoned figure in the real estate landscape whose acumen has been honed across markets in Europe and North America. His vision is driven by the marriage of technology and hospitality, resulting in a unique living environment that places residents’ comfort and convenience at the core of its operations.

Benjamin Preece, sat down with Hugh Wallace in one of the shared amenity spaces to chat.  He explained that the ‘Social Spaces and Club Houses’ feature modern and spacious living spaces, Masterchef kitchens and dining rooms which residents can book out privately for a dinner party or gathering with friends and family at no extra cost.

He said, “With connected living and wellbeing at the heart of what we offer, Hali aims to provide our residents with the latest in smart security technology combined with amenities that add to their wellbeing, enhance their life, and enable them to become part of a vibrant community. There are also several safety measures and protocols in place to make residents feel safe within the community and our team are here on site to help with maintenance requests or to deal with any resident’s queries. The amenity spaces can be booked through the Hali App, which also enables the residents to do all kinds of things such as logging a maintenance request or booking a fitness class. It’s all about making life easier and more comfortable. We want residents to really enjoy living here and the community that we have built here is dynamic and energetic.  It’s a great place to live.”

Under Preece’s leadership, Hali employs a unique and comprehensive approach to property management. Uniquely, Hali’s teams are fully internalised which fosters a cohesive understanding of the community’s vision, enhancing the efficiency and quality of the development process and means that if something needs to be fixed or maintained the onsite team can deal with it themselves rather than waiting for an external provider.

In the video we can also watch interior designer Suzie McAdam chat with Helen Walsh, the onsite interior designer for Hali who told Suzie about the style and inspiration behind the interiors.  Suzie McAdam’s services are in demand all over the world and she mainly looks after large scale, private homes in Ireland, the UK, and the USA.  “I don’t subscribe to trends; design trends come and go, but for really great design to come to life the fundamentals must remain, function and form of course is important, but things also need to look beautiful. I was really impressed with the art in both the public spaces and within the apartments itself.  The specially commissioned pieces of art at Hali have created wonderful vignettes throughout the building.  Large scale pieces with fantastic colour and texture have softened both the private and public spaces whilst adding interest and warmth.  It’s nice to see that Hali are leading the way in supporting artists and in particular female, Irish artists. The art has created a narrative that is both enchanting and unexpected.”

She also commented on the layouts and said that the locations of the bedrooms on either side of the three-bedroom apartment offered great privacy for residents, particularly for people sharing an apartment while allowing superb circulation space in the centre.

Suzie went on to say “I really like the colour palate that Helen Walsh and her team have chosen at Hali. The combination of warm white, natural wood and splashes of aubergine has created a contemporary and relaxing atmosphere.  I can see how appealing the lifestyle would be here and am impressed with the level of fit out and finish.”

Hali is a thriving and tightly knit community, the Director of Innovation at Hali, Rebekah Lavelle has implemented a robust engagement programme that actively seeks input from residents, inviting them to share their interests and preferences for events and activities. The resident’s feedback has overwhelmingly highlighted a keen interest in health and wellbeing, leading Hali to introduce complimentary weekly offerings like yoga classes, mindfulness discussions, and even vegan cooking lessons.

Business collaborations have been created with various local providers and partnerships with brands and services such as Tulu, MyPUP and YUKÕ car share mean that residents can easily hire domestic equipment, a printer for their home office or even book a shared car.

For those wishing to work from home, co-working areas on the ground floor of each residential block include focus booths for phone or video calls as well as relaxing breakout rooms and lounge spaces.  The enterprise level Wi-Fi and various meeting and conference rooms allow for a very efficient working from home environment and gives residents an option of working from home but in an office environment and away from their apartment.

Hali, Cherrywood is currently home to just over 1,300 residents and the community-oriented space currently hosts a variety of services and will soon expand its offering to have even more restaurants, cafes, and shops. Tesco Express is now open, alongside The Grafton Barbers, Once Upon a Time Creche, Zambrero Restaurant, Chroi Coffee Shop and ‘TRIB3’, a boutique global fitness community.

The green Luas line is directly adjacent to Hali which brings residents into the city centre in approximately 40 minutes and is only a 15-minute Luas ride away from Sandyford and Dundrum Business Districts.
