The Osprey Hotel- Where it’s at before and after the races!

The Osprey Hotel is where it’s at before and after the races once again this year, with the 4-star hotel in Naas lining up another fantastic week of entertainment to coincide with the Punchestown Festival.

There will be expert racing tips each day before the races at a brunch with jockey Robbie Power and Leon Blanche of Boylesports, while punters can chill out after their big day out back at the hotel with some excellent entertainment each night. A complimentary shuttle bus will be running regularly each day from the hotel to the track before and after the races, meaning you won’t miss a trick on the track or a beat on the dancefloor.

Jockey Robbie Power, last year’s winner of the Punchestown Gold Cup on board Sizing John, will be joining Leon Blanche of Boylesports each afternoon at 12.30pm before the races to give the best of his inside knowledge on some of the festival’s main races.

Whether or not you’ve had a successful day at the track, there is plenty of reason to return to the Osprey Hotel afterwards and soak up the vibrant atmosphere and top-class entertainment. It will reach a crescendo on Friday night when the Osprey Hotel hosts their now legendary final event of the festival week where there will be four live acts playing to a packed house of people. On Friday night, guests will be welcomed back to the hotel by the lively Manila Strings trio, before House Party get underway on the main stage in the Ballroom. There will also be DJs in the main bar and in Time Venue that will play into the early hours of Saturday morning.

The opening act of the week will be on Tuesday night as the band, ‘Shindig’ gets the festivities underway. On Wednesday night, punters can discuss the day’s Gold Cup action while Gary Hanzard provides some excellent entertainment and on Thursday Shindig return.

As ever, punters will be able to enjoy some fine cuisine in the Herald & Devoy restaurant before and after the races, while there will also be food served daily in the bar.

Speaking ahead of a busy week, Marketing Manager at the Osprey Hotel, Karen Geraghty, said; “The week of the Punchestown Festival is massive for us every year and we always do our best to ensure that we have a great line up of acts ready to entertain people in the hotel afterwards. It’s brilliant to have Robbie Power and Leon Blanche on board once again this year to provide everyone with some great insider knowledge on what is going to happen on the track each day, and he certainly is a character that the crowd enjoy.  We’ve been preparing for this for quite a while now, and I’m sure anyone who comes down will have a fantastic time. As always, we have a complimentary shuttle bus to bring race goers to and from the track, so there really is no need to go anywhere than the Osprey Hotel!”
