GAA LEGEND, PAUL GALVIN TO REVEAL NEW LOOK OSPREY GYM

The four-star Osprey Hotel in Naas will reveal its new look health club, ‘Fitness & Leisure @ The Osprey Hotel at 1.00pm this Saturday, 7th of January. The Osprey was recently bought over by The PREM Group who carried out a substantial refurbishment at the gym in order to meet the demands of its discerning health club members and guests. The additional floor space now accommodates 14 new pieces of state of the art strength and conditioning equipment. The new equipment reflects all types of training programs and objectives, and will provide members and guests with the motivational resources they require to achieve their personal fitness goals. These machines include fitness favorites such as the HD Elite Power Rack, The Olympic Flat Bench, The SYNRGY360 and Jordan Rubber Solid End Dumbbells with various weight variations for all levels of fitness. The Aerobic Studio has been upgraded a new Members Lounge has been created and a dedicated Ladies Training Area has also been added.   The facility also includes a 20 metre deck swimming pool, sauna, steam room and a separate children’s paddle swimming pool. There are several classes on offer for people of all levels of fitness and personal training is available upon request.

The new look gym will be unveiled by GAA, Kerry football legend, Paul Galvin and all are welcome to attend the official opening celebrations. Famed for his skills as a top GAA footballer, Galvin was a member of the Kerry senior inter-county team from 2003 until 2015 and had the honour of being named as the 1,000th All Star in GAA history.   He is an inspirational sportsman and is well known for his dogged determination and work ethic both on and off the field. Paul will meet and greet the public and will engage in several fun fitness challenges for the attendees to win some spot prizes and have fun with fitness. A top prize of a family membership for two adults and two children will also be up for grabs on the day.

Other complimentary activities that will take place on Saturday include children’s face painting, show arounds of the gym and mini classes. There will be lots of giveaways and complimentary food and drinks on offer and attendees will have the chance to try out the facilities for themselves. The official opening will be followed by the ‘Osprey WOW Week’ (Week of Wellness) which will include daily health and wellness activities including complimentary yoga classes, nutritional talks, and healthy cooking classes.

The Osprey complex includes the four-star Osprey Hotel, Soul Spa, Osprey Conference Centre, Fitness & Leisure and Centre Stage, the entertainment theatre.   The hotel incorporates 104 bedrooms including classic rooms, executive rooms, junior suites, duplex suites and two penthouse suites with balconies. There is also a ballroom, brasserie, bistro, bar, and extensive outdoor courtyard. The style and design of the building is very contemporary; a giant cylindrical tower with a curved copper roof stands at the heart of the hotel, creating the very hub of the building and housing an impressive double switch back stairs. The interiors are bright, light filled spaces and the central foyer is wrapped in glass which overlooks a dramatic water feature to the front of the building.
